OBITUARY

Michael J. Molnar

Michael J. Molnar, 85 of Richeyville, PA died Sunday, December 13, 2009 in Consulate Health Care, McMurray, PA. He was born March 6, 1924 in Daisytown a son of the late Joseph and Katherine Molnar. Mr. Molnar was a graduate of California High School and a veteran of WWII having served in the US Army Air Corps. as a Captain and a B-26 bomber pilot. He had been employed as an autoworker for over 35 years for General Motors at the Fisher Body Plant in West Mifflin from where he retired in 1985. Mr. Molnar was a member of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Richeyville and Hancock/McCune/Horn American Legion Post 705 of Centerville. He was viewed by family and friends as a perfectionist who enjoyed auto body work and do-it-yourself projects as well as reading and gardening. On November 27, 1954 he married Delphine Kime Molnar who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Michelle Katko and Melanie Molnar both of Richeyville; one grandson, Paul Michael Katko, Greenback, TN, one sister Helen Fekete of Maryland and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are two sisters, Katherine Molnar and Emma Rimskey.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, PA where prayers will be said at 12 noon, December 17, 2009 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 P.M. in the St. Agnes R. C. Church, Richeyville with Rev. John Forbidussi as Celebrant.
